The MSc in Archaeological Science is a joint postgraduate program organized by the Department of History and Archaeology and the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
The program is designed to provide advanced theoretical knowledge as well as practical experience about the major applications of science in archaeology.
The program is addressed to:
► holders of BA in archaeology, humanities and classics wishing to learn how to apply science-based approaches to the study of archaeological evidence, including the environment and the material culture of the past, and
► holders of BSc in science subjects, such as geology, physics, chemistry, biology, materials science, and conservation of antiquities and works of art, wishing to learn archaeological research issues and questions, which can be approached through scientific methods of analysis.
Upon full and successful completion of the studies described in the curriculum, the program provides a Master of Science Degree entitled "MSc in Archaeological Science".
The degree is awarded by the Department of History and Archeology and the Department of Geology and Geoenvironment, of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
