Dimitris Filioglou is a Wiener Laboratory Postdoctoral Fellow. He completed his undergraduate studies in the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Department of History and Archaeology, anc continued with Master's studies (MSc in Osteoarchaeology) in the University of Sheffield and PhD research in Greek Zooarchaeology in the University of Groningen. He has studied zooarchaeological assemblages throughout Greece from the Neolithic to the Byzantine period, including Iklaina, Pherae, and Ismenion.
Research interests
His research interests include animal husbandry, pastoralism, animal mobility and economy, and stable isotopes in zooarchaeology, in ancient Greece.
