
Wiener Laboratory Post-Doctoral Research Fellow
Kyriaki Tsirtsi holds a Postdoctoral Research Fellowship at the M.H. Wiener Laboratory for Archaeological Science of the American School of Classical Studies at Athens. For this project, Kyriaki focuses on the environmental history, foodways, and ritual practices in the Peloponnese during the 1st millennium BCE. Prior to this, Kyriaki held a Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Science and Technology in Archaeology and Culture Research Center of The Cyprus Institute, as part of the MedisFood project which explored food systems and agricultural practices in Bronze Age Crete and Cyprus.
Kyriaki’s fieldwork experience is extensive across Greece and Cyprus, collaborating with universities and institutes in Athens, Nicosia, Heidelberg, Catania, Venice, Brussels, Graz, Cambridge, Cincinnati, Princeton, New York, and others. She has, also, participated as main author and/ or co- author in multiple peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters focusing on the archaeobotanical research in Greece and Cyprus. Finally, she has participated with oral and poster presentations at international conferences and workshops.
